Sales of the updated Geely Preface 2026 business sedan have started in China, positioned as a potential competitor to the Toyota Camry.
The model was released simultaneously with the Geely Monjaro 2026 crossover and is offered in six trim levels at prices ranging from 93.7 to 133.7 thousand yuan (approximately 1.1-1.56 million rubles). For comparison, the base Toyota Camry 2026 in China will cost from 158.8 thousand yuan (1.86 million rubles) with a 173 hp naturally aspirated engine. Geely attracts with more powerful options and reduced cost, while maintaining the premium segment.
The sedan retained its dimensions of 4825 × 1869 × 1469 mm with a wheelbase of 2800 mm, providing a spacious interior. The base three versions are equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 181 hp paired with a 7-speed robotic gearbox. Top-end versions are equipped with a 2.0-liter engine with 272 hp and an 8-speed automatic transmission, which surpasses the base Camry in dynamics.
The update also affected the electronics: the multimedia system has been improved, and autonomous driving has been supplemented with additional cameras to improve safety.
