Volvo V90 goes down in history: the last wagon assembled in Sweden

But sales continue in China

Volvo has officially completed production of the iconic V90 wagon. On October 12, 2025, the last model rolled off the assembly line at the Torslanda plant — a black car that will join the Volvo Heritage Collection and be exhibited at the World of Volvo Museum in Gothenburg. The company does not plan to release a successor to the V90.

However, the model is still available in China. According to IT Home, the 2025 V90 Cross Country version is still presented on the local Volvo website with a starting price of 447,900 yuan.

The car is offered in two modifications — B5 AWD Zhiyuan and B5 AWD Zhizun. Both options are equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a 48-volt mild hybrid system. The power reaches 184 kW, the torque is 350 N·m, and acceleration to 100 km/h takes 7.4 seconds.

The dimensions of the model are 4959×1903×1543 mm with a wheelbase of 2941 mm. The package includes a Cross Country radiator grille, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and Android multimedia with a 9-inch touch screen.
