More than half of the new passenger cars registered in Russia in the first nine months of 2025 were produced at domestic enterprises. This was reported by auto expert Sergey Tselikov.
According to Tselikov, a total of 896,000 new passenger cars were registered in the country during this period. Of these, 52.5% were assembled in Russia, and Chinese brands took second place with a share of almost 39%.
More than half of all new cars in Russia are produced at our factories.
Tselikov clarified that Chinese brands lead in the brand ranking, accounting for 54.4% of sales. Russian brands occupy second place with a share of 32.7%, and Belarusian Belgee is third with a result of 4.5%. Japanese, German, and Korean brands follow.
