Geely has unveiled the 2026 Emgrand sedan, the fifth generation of the popular model, which has become larger, more technologically advanced, and more powerful. Pre-sales have already started in China, with prices ranging from 68,900 to 85,900 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately $9,700-$12,000.
The model is built on the BMA Evo modular platform and is offered with two power units: a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine (88 kW, 150 N·m) and a new turbocharged 1.5T with 133 kW (181 hp) and 290 N·m, working with a 7-speed "wet" robotic gearbox. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 7.9 seconds, and the average consumption is 5.95 l/100 km.
The Emgrand has become significantly larger than the previous version: the length has increased to 4815 mm, the width to 1885 mm, and the wheelbase has grown to 2755 mm. Externally, the car stands out with a large radiator grille with vertical chrome inserts and L-shaped bumper elements.
The interior is equipped with a 10.2-inch instrument panel and a 14.6-inch central screen (10.1 inches in the base version). The Flyme Auto multimedia system supports voice control, HUAWEI HiCar, Flyme Link, and Gaode 810 navigation.
Even in the standard configuration, LED optics, a leather steering wheel, and a full set of L2-level systems are available - from adaptive cruise control to lane keeping and collision avoidance. In China, the 2026 Emgrand competes with the Chery Arrizo 5 Plus.
