This week, the annual SEMA tuning show opened in Las Vegas, where automakers and various companies presented their car modification projects. One of them was an unusual Porsche Macan crossover, which was converted into a drift car.
The Porsche Macan modification was presented by the American auto parts company FCP Euro, the crossover was converted by the Canadian auto shop TSH Auto, the work took one year.
The project is called Drift Macan. The crossover externally features a white and green livery, a sports body kit, a lowered ride height and Rotiform wheels, which are installed on the front axle with a large negative camber.
Inside, many trim details have been removed to reduce weight, there are four bucket seats, a roll cage, a racing steering wheel with a quick-release mechanism, a hydraulic handbrake and a special control panel.
The factory V6 engine has been replaced by a four-liter twin-turbo V8 from a 2014 Audi RS7, which after modification develops more than 600 hp. The power is transmitted to the rear axle through a modified eight-speed ZF gearbox. Next year, the Drift Macan is planned to be used as a drift taxi at various events.
