A joint project of CATL, GAC Group, and JD.com has unveiled the new compact electric vehicle Aion UT Super, which is already available for purchase exclusively through the online platform JD.com. The model is positioned as an affordable urban electric vehicle with modern equipment and advanced technologies.
The car's cost starts from 49,900 yuan (about $7,000) with a battery rental of 399 yuan per month, or from 89,900 yuan ($12,600) with a full purchase. The car is equipped with a 100 kW (134 hp) electric motor and a CATL battery, providing a range of up to 500 km according to the CLTC cycle. The quick battery replacement system allows you to change it in just 99 seconds.
In terms of design, the Aion UT Super replicates the Aion UT 2025 model, offering a hatchback body, a wheelbase of 2750 mm, and an interior with a 14.6-inch screen, Huawei Cloud support, and integration with HarmonyOS, Apple, and Android.
The equipment list includes cruise control, a 540° surround view system, keyless entry, and heated mirrors. The new product is designed to become a mass solution in the market of inexpensive electric vehicles in China.
