Sales of the new Volkswagen Tharu XR crossover, brought in through parallel imports, continue in Russia. The model is a de facto replacement for the Skoda Karoq and Volkswagen Taos and has unexpectedly occupied a price niche below many local models: the minimum price on one of the classifieds is 1,690,000 rubles.
This makes the Chinese Tharu XR even cheaper than the Lada Vesta: the average Enjoy'24 configuration with a 122-horsepower engine and a CVT costs from 1,795,000 rubles, and the Vesta SW Cross starts from 1,879,000 rubles.
The most affordable offers for the Tharu XR are in Krasnoyarsk: for 1,690,000 rubles they offer the Ruijin Edition configuration with a fabric interior, plastic multi-steering wheel, digital instrument panel, touch media system, air conditioning, electronic parking brake AutoHold and USB ports for front and rear passengers.
In Vladivostok, a similar delivery is estimated at 1,800,000 rubles, in Omsk - at 1,850,000 rubles. More expensive versions with leather (eco-leather) trim, climate control and leather multi-steering wheel are available from 1,890,000 rubles. In Ufa, the model is offered to be brought for 1,948,000 rubles, in Krasnodar - for 1,990,000 rubles, in Perm - for 2,050,000 rubles, and in Moscow - from 2,140,000 rubles.
