Nissan placed a three-meter cat statue created by artist Hoyo Sato in the Nissan Crossing showroom in Tokyo's Ginza. The figure is modeled after the British Shorthair breed and weighs about 20 kg.
The fur imitates the real texture, and at night the cat glows softly, turning into a surreal element of the city showcase.
The statue was "placed" on the roof of the new Nissan Aura model - the paws were even specially bent so that the cat would "fit" into the dimensions of the car. The performance became part of the exhibition, which will last until December 25. Guests can suggest a name for the fluffy giant directly in the store or on social networks until November 27. The results will be announced in early December.
According to the company, the unusual installation should emphasize Nissan's signature approach - a combination of minimalism, emotion and light eccentricity. Aura, with its hybrid powertrain and premium appearance, is the central element of the project.
Meanwhile, tourists are already lining up for shots of the glowing "three-meter cat", which has become a new attraction in Ginza.
