The volume of state purchases of the Lada Aura sedan is still at an insufficient level. This was stated by the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov.
According to him, the manufacturer hopes that the situation will change in light of the president's instruction on the priority of purchasing domestic cars for civil servants and state-owned companies.
We can produce up to five Lada Aura cars per hour, but the line is underutilized. The localization of the model exceeds 90%, but government purchases, unfortunately, are still sluggish.
As a reminder, in January 2025, Vladimir Putin, during a trip to AvtoVAZ, stated that Russian officials should drive domestic cars. According to the president, the instruction on the priority use of domestic cars has not yet been fully implemented.
Meanwhile, new Lada Aura sedans have begun to appear in taxi fleets in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The first cars in the corporate livery of the largest aggregator have already been photographed.
