A resident of Krasnoyarsk won a lawsuit against the Moscow importer "Toyota Motor". The court awarded him 36 million rubles in compensation for a faulty Land Cruiser 200 SUV.
The man purchased a 2017 car at the "Medved businessauto" dealership, but soon discovered malfunctions. The seller acknowledged the defect and fixed it under warranty, but the breakdown recurred.
According to experts, the reason was the use of unsuitable oil filters. However, a second examination revealed a factory defect in the engine - destroyed rings and scoring in the cylinders.
As a result, the court ordered "Toyota Motor" to pay the buyer 5 million rubles for the car, as well as over 30 million rubles in fines and penalties.
