In 2026, Avatr hybrid cars will appear in Russia, according to Sun Tszetszyun, President of Changan Eurasia. According to him, the brand plans to expand the lineup and add models with hybrid power plants to it, which will complement the Avatr 11 electric crossover already sold in the Russian Federation and the Avatr 12 fastback preparing to debut.
The premium brand Avatr was created by Changan in collaboration with IT giant Huawei and officially entered the Russian market a year ago. So far, only electric versions are on sale, but the transition to hybrids should significantly strengthen the brand's position in the segment of high-tech SUVs and sports sedans, especially given the restrictions on the supply of powerful electric vehicles.
In the neighboring Belarusian market, Avatr hybrids are already available. The 4.8-meter Avatr 06 sports sedan and the Avatr 07 crossover are sold there, capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds and traveling over 1000 km without stopping. These models are expected to form the basis of the Avatr hybrid line for Russia in 2026.
