Geely has started Russian sales of its first hybrid crossover, the EX5 EM-i. According to the company's representative office, the model is already available at dealerships and is offered in two trim levels, with prices ranging from 3.57 to 3.87 million rubles.
The EX5 EM-i is equipped with a series-parallel hybrid system. The traction electric motor produces 218 hp and accelerates the car to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds.
On long routes, a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine with 99 hp is connected, which works as a generator and, if necessary, drives the front wheels. In hybrid mode, the range reaches 943 km according to the WLTP cycle. Power is supplied by an 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery.
The base version includes six airbags, 18-inch wheels, a multimedia system with a 15.4-inch screen and iOS support, adaptive cruise control, a full winter package, a digital dashboard, and parking assistants. The seats are manually adjustable.
The top-end configuration gets 19-inch wheels, a 360-degree view system, a panoramic roof with a sunroof, an electric tailgate, a projection display, and wireless charging. The front seats are equipped with electric adjustments and ventilation, the rear row with heating and an armrest. An extended set of electronic assistants is also available.
