Average price of a new car in Russia hits a record

Now you will have to pay an average of 3.54 million rubles for a car "from scratch"

Over five years, the average cost of a new car in Russia has doubled, reaching 3.54 million rubles. This was announced by the head of the analytical publication "Autostat," Sergey Tselikov.

According to him, compared to October 2024, the price increase was 16%. The increase last month compared to October 2025 was 3%.

The rapid growth of average weighted prices in the fall of 2025 is due to two main reasons, Tselikov explained.

Firstly, the market structure is changing towards more expensive cars. The share of Lada has decreased by 10% over the year, from 31% to 21%. The share of global brands, on the contrary, has increased from 7% to 13%. Secondly, starting in September, brands are adjusting price lists and removing discounts.

Prices for used cars also went up this fall, the analyst noted. In November, they set a record - 1.3 million rubles - is the average asking price for a used car. The increase to October is just over 1%. Compared to November last year, average weighted prices increased by 13%. And in 5 years, more than doubled (+113%).
