Currently, there is no need for Mercedes to return to the Russian market. This was stated by Sergey Kogogin, General Director of PJSC KAMAZ.
He was asked if he would agree to the return of the German company to the Russian market if Mercedes had such plans.
Let's just say they have that right and that opportunity. But we hardly need it today.
Mercedes-Benz suspended deliveries and production of cars in Russia in March 2022. Since then, the Russian automotive industry has been forced to rapidly rebuild supply chains, localize technologies and look for alternative partners, including in Asia.
