According to the publication, 27,768 vehicles are subject to recall, including models A5, S5, A6, A6 Sportback e-tron, S6 Sportback e-tron, Q6 e-tron, Q6 Sportback e-tron, SQ6 e-tron and SQ6 Sportback e-tron.

The problem is related to the seat belt mechanism in the rear row. In some cases, it may not work correctly if a child seat is installed on the seat. This reduces the level of protection for the child during sudden braking or an accident.

Audi is already notifying owners of affected vehicles. All dealers of the brand are obliged to eliminate the malfunction free of charge by replacing or modifying the problematic unit. The manufacturer emphasizes that the repair will be carried out as part of an official recall campaign.

Before visiting the service, owners are advised to strictly follow the instructions for installing child seats and check the fixation of seat belts. Audi does not specify whether any real incidents have been recorded, but acknowledged the defect as potentially dangerous and requiring immediate intervention.
