Discount on hybrid Seres M5 cut in Russia: crossover becomes noticeably more expensive

The price eventually increased by more than half a million rubles

The hybrid crossover Seres M5 in Russia has not formally become more expensive, but it has become less profitable for buyers. From January 1, 2026, the brand sharply reduced the size of the special discount, which led to an actual increase in the car's price by more than 500 thousand rubles. The changes were revealed during an analysis of the brand's current price lists.

The recommended retail price of the Seres M5 is still 6,590,000 rubles and has not changed. However, if at the end of 2025 it was possible to get a benefit of up to 1,300,000 rubles under the promotion and buy a crossover for 5,290,000 rubles, now the discount has been reduced to 790,000 rubles. As a result, the minimum cost of the car, taking into account the current benefit, has increased to 5,800,000 rubles.

The model has remained in a single configuration without any changes. The Seres M5 is equipped with a sequential hybrid system, in which two electric motors with a total power of about 662 hp and a torque of 664 Nm are responsible for the movement. A 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a power of 116 hp is used exclusively as a generator for recharging the traction battery.

The battery capacity is 40 kWh, and the crossover itself was originally adapted to Russian operating conditions. The equipment includes "winter options", and the multimedia system is fully Russified. Despite the preservation of characteristics and equipment level, the reduction in the discount has actually made the Seres M5 significantly less affordable at the beginning of 2026.
