Main Competitors of the "Atom" Electric Vehicle Named

The main competitors of the "Atom" electric vehicle in the Russian market will be other models with local production. These include "Moskvich 3e", Evolute i-JOY, and AMBERAVTO A5, whose prices today start at approximately 1.79 million and reach up to 3.1 million rubles. This opinion was expressed to the "Avtostat" agency by Anna Utkina, Communications Director of Avtodom Group and AvtoSpetsCenter Group.

According to her, "Atom" may attract buyers due to its non-standard design with swing doors without a central pillar, an enlarged interior thanks to a long wheelbase, as well as adaptation to winter operation and the availability of versions for business. The range of the new product is declared at up to 500 km. At the same time, the key disadvantage of the car remains the price: it is expected that without subsidies it will be about 3.9 million rubles, and with state support it may decrease to about 3 million.

Yuri Ten, the founder of the Terminal A service, also considers Evolute electric vehicles to be competitors of "Atom" and draws attention to the Yandex project — the UMO U5 model based on GAC Aion Y Plus, which is focused on taxis. It is assumed that it will be noticeably cheaper — about 2.4 million rubles, taking into account benefits.

In turn, Igor Morzharetto, editor-in-chief of Avtodor Radio, considers the Evolute i-JOY electric crossover, which is estimated at 1.79 million rubles with a preferential loan, as well as the promising "Amberavto A3", to be direct competitors of "Atom". As a result, the new product will have to compete with several models at once in a fairly limited market segment.
