Updated Aurus Senat Parameters Revealed

The armored limousine has become longer and heavier

The restyled Aurus Senat Limousine, whose characteristics have remained unknown until now, has become larger and noticeably heavier, according to Rosstandart data.

Aurus Senat Limousine

The Aurus Senat presidential limousine was first shown at Vladimir Putin's inauguration in 2018. The updated version remains a piece product: the car cannot be ordered, and most of the characteristics are classified. However, some of the parameters are disclosed in the certification documents database.

After the restyling, the length of the Aurus Senat Limousine increased to 6653 mm, which is 23 mm more than the 2018 version. The increase is due to the modified bumpers and the new radiator grille. The wheelbase is 4300 mm. The weight has changed more significantly: the curb weight has increased to 6625 kg, the gross weight to 7080 kg, which is 285 kg more than the previous figure. The vehicle type approval certificate indicates that such parameters are permissible for cars with the old design, which may indicate the refinement of ballistic protection.

The update also affected other versions of the family. The regular Aurus Senat became 21 mm longer, up to 5653 mm, while maintaining a curb weight of 3235 kg. The armored version became heavier to 5620 kg. The Senat Long version from 2025 received enlarged doors and a wheelbase extended by 500 mm.

The technical part remained the same. The Aurus Senat is equipped with a hybrid installation with a 4.4-liter V8 NAMI-4123 with a capacity of 598 hp, a nine-speed KATE "automatic" and a built-in electric motor. A novelty was the air suspension with adaptive shock absorbers, available only to unarmored short-wheelbase versions.
