New Tank flagship to be unveiled in March 2026

Specifications are still kept secret

The Tank brand will present a new flagship SUV in March 2026. This was announced by Tank CEO Gu Yukun, specifying that the premiere will take place after the celebration of the Chinese New Year.

According to the head of the company, the model will be a "new generation product" and will be positioned in the luxury SUV segment. Technical specifications and exact launch dates are not yet disclosed.

The new Tank flagship will be part of GWM's strategy to expand its presence in the large luxury hybrid segment. Earlier, in February, documents for the hybrid Wey V9X were published. The six-seater SUV is 5299 mm long, with a wheelbase of 3150 mm. The model is built on an 800-volt architecture and is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine. The declared range without recharging reaches 363 km.

It is not specified whether the new Tank flagship will be technically unified with the V9X. At the same time, the announcement itself indicates the preparation of a model a class above the already existing Tank 300, 400 and 500.

All key parameters — dimensions, power plant, battery capacity and price — remain closed until official documents are submitted to regulatory authorities.
