Aurus confirmed reports of a production downtime at its plant in Elabuga. The company said that scheduled modernization is continuing at the site as part of the production plan.
According to Aurus, the work is being carried out on schedule under the industrialization program and includes preparation for the launch of an updated model.
After the completion of the necessary technological and organizational processes, the operation of the AURUS production site will continue as normal. All social obligations to the company\'s workforce will be fulfilled in full.
Aurus is the first Russian luxury car brand created under the state-run Kortezh program. Its public premiere took place in 2018 at the Moscow International Motor Show. Mass production began in 2021.
The plant\'s designed capacity provides for the production of up to 5 thousand vehicles per year in a full-cycle mode with body welding and painting.
