Female car owners are most often afraid of car breakdowns on the road. This is evidenced by the results of an online survey by the Avtostat analytical agency, conducted as part of the AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS – 2025. Autumn Wave project.
According to the study, car breakdown on the road remains the main concern for female drivers. This answer option was chosen by 45.5% of the survey participants. The second most common fear was the likelihood of a traffic accident — this was stated by 37.2% of respondents.
Also, a significant proportion of women experience difficulties with parking, in hard-to-reach places it causes tension in 25.7% of the surveyed female drivers.
Car services remain a separate problem for some drivers. About 18% of women are afraid of being "scammed for money" when seeking car service.
Less significant, but still common sources of concern are regular car maintenance procedures. Replacing consumables causes discomfort in 11.8% of the survey participants, and seasonal tire fitting — in 11.1%.
A small proportion of respondents also noted other inconveniences associated with car operation. For example, 5.6% of women admitted that they do not like regular visits to gas stations.
At the same time, almost a quarter of the surveyed female drivers stated that they do not experience any difficulties in owning a car. This answer was chosen by 23.5% of the study participants.
