Demand for station wagons is growing in China: interest in this body type has increased with the spread of electric vehicles and hybrids.
Previously, station wagons had given way to crossovers, which offered a higher seating position and increased ground clearance. However, with the development of the new energy vehicle segment, the situation began to change.
Buyers of electric vehicles and hybrids are increasingly choosing station wagons because of their aerodynamics. A lower drag coefficient reduces energy consumption and increases range.
As a result, automakers have begun to actively launch such models on the market. These include the Zeekr 001, Nio ET5 Touring, and other five-door models.
The list will soon be supplemented by the Lynk & Co 7 GT, which confirms the growing interest in the segment.
