Toyota has started selling the Land Cruiser FJ in Thailand: for the first time in the series, the SUV is being assembled outside of Japan. Toyota positions the Land Cruiser FJ as a full-fledged SUV. The ground clearance is 245 mm, and the fording depth is up to 700 mm. The model is equipped with all-wheel drive and a low-range gear.
Under the hood is a 2.7-liter gasoline engine with 163 hp, working with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The design is based on the frame platform from the Hilux pickup truck.
In Thailand, the model is offered in four trim levels. An off-road package is additionally available with all-terrain tires, underbody protection, and a 20 mm increase in ground clearance.
The minimum price is 1,269,000 baht (about 3.1 million rubles). Toyota previously announced plans to launch the model in more than 60 markets. However, the gasoline version will not be sold in Europe. In the future, an electric modification may appear.
