The company has announced a high-performance sports sedan with a manual transmission

Infiniti is developing a high-performance sports sedan with a manual transmission. Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Nissan and Infiniti in the US, Tiago Castro, announced the plans at the 2026 New York Auto Show. According to him, the car will have "many horses" and will be available with a manual transmission. He confirmed that it is indeed a sedan.

It is expected that the model will be based on the current Nissan Z, including the version with a manual transmission. Exact specifications, including power, have not yet been disclosed.

Castro called the project "exciting", noted its strategic role, and emphasized the importance of returning to the brand's audience. According to him, customers are waiting for a high-performance sedan like the Q50S with a choice of transmission, but at the same time, the company understands that the project will be niche.

Previously, Infiniti did not bring the Q60 Black S and Q50 Eau Rouge projects to series production. At the same time, the Q60 coupe and Q50 sedan were discontinued. The new project may change the situation.
