Prices for scale models of Soviet cars have increased in Russia: demand for collectible mini-copies has led to a sharp rise in price. One of the collectors told Motor magazine about the growing interest. According to him, the demand for models has led to the fact that individual copies on a scale of 1:43 are sold for hundreds of thousands of rubles.
For example, a black GAZ-24 Volga model is offered for 150 thousand rubles. The Moskvich pickup truck in the Aeroflot livery of the second half of the 1970s is estimated at 43 thousand rubles.
Rare colors are of particular interest. Some collectors, in particular, collect models only in bottle green. A VAZ-2101 Zhiguli from 1979 in dark green is sold for 14 thousand rubles.
Rare sets also demonstrate high value. A VAZ-2121 Niva model in 1:43 scale in yellow with a Skif trailer from 1988 is offered for sale for 120 thousand rubles.
