Toyota has obtained a patent for the sale of the Toyota C+pod electric vehicle in Russia. The application was submitted in March 2025, and the decision to register was made in April 2026.
The model debuted in Japan in December 2020. It is a two-seater electric vehicle with a length of 2490 mm, designed for short city trips.
The C+pod is aimed at elderly drivers, delivery services, and corporate clients, including municipal structures. The electric motor develops 9.2 kW and 56 N⋅m. The maximum speed is limited to 60 km/h, and the range is about 150 km.
Despite leaving the Russian market, Toyota continues its patent activity. Previously, the company registered the trademarks Wigo, Avensis, Crown Signia, Verso, and Lexus.
