After the repair, Chery antifreeze flooded the cabin - the engine overheated on the way

The dealer did not tighten the clamp after warranty work

Chery Tiggo 8 Pro owners from Sochi faced a serious problem after warranty repairs. Immediately after visiting the service, the car began to lose coolant, and the engine began to overheat.

The car was bought in August 2024, and in the first month the all-wheel drive clutch failed. Later it turned out that a service campaign had previously been carried out for this malfunction, but the dealer sold the car without fixing the defect.

After the repair, a new problem appeared - a sharp chemical smell appeared in the cabin, and traces of antifreeze were found under the gas pedal. On the way to the service, the engine overheated twice.

The check showed that the cooling system clamp was not tightened during the repair. As a result, antifreeze leaked into the cabin, soaking the carpet, sound insulation and hidden cavities of the body.

The dealer offered to limit himself to washing and drying, but the owner demanded a complete replacement of the damaged elements. An independent examination confirmed the presence of liquid and a persistent odor.

Chery stated that the case was isolated, and all car systems are operating normally. The repair has not yet been carried out: the owner refused further work until the examination is completed.
