Hyundai Motor announced the launch of the Ioniq brand in the Chinese market and unveiled the first production crossover, the Hyundai Ioniq V, at the Beijing Auto Show 2026. The new lineup focuses on electric vehicles and extended-range models. The cars will feature an 800-volt architecture and advanced drive systems. Solutions from Qualcomm, CATL, and Baidu are being used in development.

The Ioniq V became the brand's first production model in China. The car has a body length of 4900 mm and a wheelbase of 2900 mm. The design includes split optics and aerodynamic elements.
The interior is equipped with a 27-inch 4K screen, a head-up display, and an ambient lighting system. The interior concept is focused on digital services and multimedia functions.
Ioniq models will be developed at Hyundai's Chinese design center and are aimed at the local market with subsequent export.
The company also presented the Venus and Earth concepts, which will form the basis of future models. They are part of the Ioniq Universe strategy, focused on creating an ecosystem for Chinese users.
