MINI unveiled a new version of the Paul Smith Edition convertible in Belgium – another result of collaboration with the famous British designer Paul Smith. The premiere took place in Antwerp, where the car was showcased in the designer's flagship boutique.
The main feature of the novelty is attention to detail. Three exclusive colors are available for the body: Statement Grey, inspired by the classic 1959 Mini Austin Seven, Inspired White, and Midnight Black Metallic. The look is complemented by Nottingham Green elements on the mirrors, radiator grille, and wheel caps. This shade was chosen for a reason – it refers to Paul Smith's hometown.
However, the main focus is on the interior. The cabin received Nuit Blue knitted upholstery with subtle stripes, a "Hello" welcome projection when opening the door, and the inscription "Every day is a new beginning" on the door sills. Among other unusual details are a hand-drawn rabbit on the floor mats and a decorative textile element with Paul Smith's signature stripes on the steering wheel.

The special series is not limited to one convertible. The Paul Smith Edition is available for several MINI models, including the three-door and five-door hatchbacks, the convertible, as well as the all-electric Cooper E and Cooper SE versions.
This project shows how the approach to automotive design is changing. While special series used to be more often distinguished by additional power or sporty settings, today manufacturers are increasingly focusing on emotions, individuality, and visual details. MINI and Paul Smith use precisely this approach, turning the car into part of the owner's fashion image.
At the same time, the cars remained technically unchanged. The main value of the series was not new characteristics, but design solutions that make every trip more personalized.
