A new compact electric car, developed by specialists from Moscow Polytechnic University, has been patented in Russia. This is the car that was previously planned to be put on the conveyor belt of the Kaliningrad holding "Avtotor".
The main feature of the project was supposed to be its price. The developers expected to keep the cost of the car at around 1 million rubles.
However, the battery, the most expensive element of the car, was not planned to be included in the cost. It was supposed to be transferred to owners under a separate leasing program with monthly payments and the possibility of free replacement after capacity reduction.
According to preliminary characteristics, the electric car should receive an engine with a power of up to 20 hp, reach speeds of up to 85 km/h, and travel up to 300 km on a single charge. In addition to the four-seater passenger version, the developers envisioned a commercial modification with an enlarged cargo compartment.
