Toyota has unveiled an updated Corolla Cross for the Japanese market, with the main highlight being the special Z Adventure version, commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Corolla family. The new model boasts a more rugged design and a range of exclusive elements inspired by the brand's SUVs.

The main difference of the anniversary version is the new front end. The crossover features a grille styled after the North American Corolla Cross, and for an additional charge, the Z Adventure Set package is available with a large TOYOTA inscription on the grille, reminiscent of modern Land Cruiser designs.

The exterior is also complemented by decorative protective overlays, matte 17-inch alloy wheels, special badges for the Corolla's 60th anniversary, and a two-tone body paint with a black roof. Buyers will be offered four colors, including Urban Khaki and Mud Bath.

The interior features combined artificial leather and fabric seat trim, contrasting stitching, and Smoke Silver Metallic decorative inserts on the steering wheel, dashboard, and transmission selector.

The update also affected the equipment of regular trims. HEV Z and HEV GR Sport versions now come standard with a heated steering wheel and an expanded set of electronic assistants. The list includes a blind-spot monitoring system, a safe door opening function, surround-view cameras with a "transparent floor" mode, and an improved Advanced Park automatic parking system capable of recognizing cars, pedestrians, and cross-traffic.

There have been no technical changes. In the Japanese market, the Corolla Cross is still offered exclusively with a self-charging hybrid powertrain. It consists of a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with 98 hp and an electric motor with 95 hp. For E-Four all-wheel-drive versions, an additional 41 hp electric motor is provided on the rear axle.

Sales of the updated model in Japan have already begun. The base Corolla Cross is priced from 3,613,500 yen (approximately 1.7 million rubles), while the anniversary Z Adventure E-Four costs 3,921,500 yen (1.9 million rubles). With the Z Adventure Set package, the price increases to 4,218,500 yen (about 2 million rubles).

The anniversary version demonstrates Toyota's desire to make the family crossover visually more expressive without significant technical intervention, while enhancing its off-road image.
