The Japanese tuning studio Damd has introduced a new accessory for the Suzuki Jimny, which changes the silhouette of the SUV without serious intervention in its design. The kit is called Slash Garnish and is inspired by classic soft-top Jimnys with characteristic split side windows.
The main element is a decorative overlay installed on the rear side windows. It visually divides each window diagonally, creating the effect of a removable hardtop, characteristic of earlier generations of the model. This solution slightly impairs visibility for second-row passengers, but significantly changes the car's exterior.
To enhance the retro effect, Damd offers to paint the overlays in one of three signature colors, and also complement them with a decorative wood insert. Similar trim is already used in the proprietary roof rack, so owners can style the car in a unified manner.
The accessory is compatible with the Japanese Jimny and the international Jimny Sierra version, but is not suitable for the five-door Jimny Nomade, as its side glazing differs in shape.
The cost of the kit in Japan starts from 52,800 yen (about 25,000 rubles). Painting will cost another 33,000 yen, a decorative wooden insert - 24,530 yen, and delivery - 6,600 yen. The full kit before installation costs approximately 116,930 yen (about 55,000 rubles).
