Over the past week, 25.1 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 3% less than the previous week. Year-on-year, the market continues to show positive dynamics – sales were 3% higher than in the same period last year.
In the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment, the decline was more noticeable. 1247 vehicles were sold during the week, which is 6.8% less than the previous week. At the same time, compared to the same week in 2025, sales decreased by 17.3%.
A slight decrease was also recorded in the truck market. During the reporting period, buyers purchased 944 new trucks – this is 6.5% less than the previous week. However, compared to the 29th week of last year, the segment showed a growth of 2.7%.
If the current dynamics continue until the end of the month, the volume of new passenger car sales in July may be slightly lower than the June result. Recall that in June, 116.3 thousand new passenger cars were sold in the Russian market.
Despite a slight weekly decline, demand remains at a stable average level without pronounced signs of sharp growth or fall. The forecast for the end of 2026 remains unchanged – 1.3–1.35 million new cars are expected to be sold.
