The Chinese company Deepal (a Changan brand) has officially unveiled the updated electric crossover S05. The model received five trim levels, a modernized design, lidar, and a new set of electronic driver assistance systems. Moreover, the car is already sold not only in China but also in a number of foreign markets.

The main technical update is the intelligent driving complex. It includes lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 11 cameras, including two 8 MP front cameras. Two Horizon J6M processors with a total performance of 256 TOPS are responsible for data processing. According to the manufacturer, the system supports more than 90 driver assistance functions, including urban driving, highway driving, and automatic parking.

The electric version is equipped with a single 272 hp electric motor, which accelerates the crossover to 100 km/h in 6.28 seconds. Buyers can choose between two CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries with capacities of 56.12 and 68.82 kWh. The CLTC range reaches 520 or 620 km, respectively.

All trim levels support 3C fast charging. The manufacturer claims that the battery can be charged from 30 to 80% in less than 15 minutes, making the S05 one of the fastest-charging cars in its segment.

The interior features a 15.6-inch rotating display with 2.5K resolution, which can tilt 15 degrees towards the driver or passenger. It is complemented by a 50-inch AR head-up display with augmented reality navigation and customizable information display. The multimedia system runs on Deepal OS 4.2, using a new generation automotive chip manufactured using a 3nm process.

As part of a special launch promotion, the price of the new product ranges from 115,900 to 144,900 yuan (approximately 1.4 - 1.8 million rubles).
