The Russian Changan Hunter Plus lineup will be expanded with diesel versions "Standard" and "Comfort". Both trim levels will receive a 2.5-liter turbodiesel with 400 Nm of torque at 1800 rpm and an 8-speed hydromechanical automatic transmission.

Off-road capability is provided by a switchable all-wheel drive system with 2H, AUTO, and 4L modes. The driver can choose one of five modes: "Eco", "Comfort", "Sport", "Snow", and "Off-road". The rear features a dependent leaf spring suspension, and the maximum payload reaches 975 kg.

Even in the basic configuration, the pickup receives LED optics, 18-inch wheels, a protective coating for the cargo platform, and a roll bar. Inside, there's eco-leather, climate control, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, and a 12.3-inch multimedia screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The set of electronic systems is also quite serious. It includes ESP, TSC, and ROM, light and rain sensors, front airbags, and a surround-view camera with a "transparent chassis" function. The latter generates an image of the space under the car, helping to control obstacles when driving off-road.

The "Comfort" version will additionally receive a rear differential lock, side airbags, heated and electrically adjustable front seats, and an electric tailgate lock.

The price of the Hunter Plus with a diesel engine and the start dates of sales in Russia will be announced later.
