New American design patents show that the Genesis X Gran Coupe and X Gran Convertible have progressed beyond the exhibition prototype stage. The registered images correspond to the brand's concepts and may indicate preparation for production versions.

Both cars belong to the X family. The Gran Coupe is a large four-seater coupe, while the Gran Convertible uses the same design base but features an open body. Genesis has not yet announced their serial launch, so the patents themselves are not yet confirmation of production.

What is noteworthy is that the company is consistently expanding its high-performance vehicle direction. In 2026, Genesis launched the GV60 Magma – the first production model of the Magma program. Its power reaches 641 hp, and the brand itself declares a transition to the concept of “Luxury High Performance.”

In parallel, Genesis is developing the Magma GT Concept and the GMR-001 racing car for the World Endurance Championship. Therefore, the appearance of patents for the X Gran Coupe and Convertible seems to be part of a broader technical and design program of the brand, although the characteristics and timing of possible production of these cars have not yet been disclosed.
