These Chinese Crossovers Held the Market in 2025: Models, Prices, and Actual Sales

The Most Popular Models from China in Russia at the End of the Year Have Been Named

In 2025, Chinese brands effectively became the foundation of the Russian car market. According to the analytical agency "Autostat," cars from China accounted for more than half of all new car sales in the country. At the same time, crossovers played a key role - the most versatile and popular type of body. The combination of reasonable prices, adaptation to Russian conditions, and expanding localization allowed the market to avoid a sharp collapse against the backdrop of a reduction in the range of traditional foreign brands.

The undisputed leader among Chinese SUVs was the Haval Jolion of Tula assembly. At the end of 2025, 65,757 of these cars were sold. The crossover is offered with 1.5-liter engines with a capacity of 143 or 150 hp, with front or all-wheel drive, as well as with a choice between a six-speed "mechanics" and a seven-speed "robot". The price range is from 1,999,000 to 2,899,000 rubles. The popularity of Jolion is largely due to the successful balance of price and equipment: even in basic versions there are cruise control, parking sensors and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The second place was taken by Belgee X50, which hides the Geely Coolray well known to Russians. The model is assembled in Belarus, and in 2025, 38,304 cars were sold. The crossover is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 150 hp and a seven-speed "robot", the drive is exclusively front. Prices without direct discounts range from 2,479,990 to 2,690,990 rubles. An important advantage of Belgee X50 was relative price stability: the model avoided a sharp increase in price and is still available with additional discounts of 125-150 thousand rubles.

In the more expensive segment, Geely Monjaro stood out - the only conditionally premium Chinese model among the leaders. During the year, Russians bought 37,660 of these crossovers. Monjaro is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 238 hp, an eight-speed "automatic" and all-wheel drive. The cost of official cars starts from 4,549,990 rubles, while there are also "parallel" versions on the market that may be slightly cheaper. The future of the model in Russia remains uncertain: localization options are being discussed, including production under the revived Volga brand or the organization of production in Belarus.

The fourth most popular was the Haval M6, which rapidly gained momentum after the transfer of production to the plant in Kaluga. In 2025, 36,093 cars were sold. The crossover is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 143 hp and is offered with both "mechanics" and "robot". Prices range from 1,999,000 to 2,249,000 rubles. The presence of a basic version with a manual transmission has become an important competitive advantage against the background of most classmates.

The top five most popular Chinese crossovers is closed by Changan Uni-S, also known as CS55 Plus. At the end of 2025, 30,600 cars were sold. The model is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 181 hp, works in tandem with a seven-speed "robot" and has front-wheel drive. After the January price increase, the cost of even the basic version exceeded the psychological mark of 3 million rubles and now starts from 3,049,900 rubles. Nevertheless, the model retains growth potential due to the expected appearance of an all-wheel drive version and possible localization at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad.

It was these crossovers that became key points of support for the market in 2025. They provided the main sales volume, formed a new balance of power among brands and showed that Chinese manufacturers are able not only to replace the departed brands, but also to offer mass buyers cars that are competitive in price and equipment.
