The Zeekr brand has long ceased to be exotic on Russian roads, even despite its unofficial status. The 001 and 009 models have made the main contribution to brand recognition, but it is the compact Zeekr X crossover that has become the first step into the world of electric vehicles of this brand for many. To understand what the X turned out to be in real life, it is worth looking at the experience of those who switched to it from familiar European and Japanese cars.
One such example is the transition from a Skoda Fabia. The owner from Moscow admits that after getting acquainted with Chinese novelties, she no longer wanted to return to the compact hatchback. Zeekr X attracted with its design and level of equipment, and the maximum configuration of Rubik’s Cube cost about 3.55 million rubles. In operation, the car pleases with comfort and the ability to drive to neighboring cities without unnecessary stress. At the same time, typical "childhood diseases" also appeared: sensitive sensors, malfunctions in the charging hatch and the need to interfere with the electrical system to eliminate problems.
Another owner switched to Zeekr X after Infiniti G35. He initially considered the Tesla Model 3 Performance, but refused due to the build quality and stiff suspension. Chinese electric vehicles seemed more balanced, and after the X test drive, the choice became obvious. Over 33,000 km, the car pleased with its dynamics, handling and level of finish, which the owner compares to Volvo. Among the disadvantages are a small trunk, the absence of some options such as massage and door closers, as well as nuances in the suspension and tightness of the rear lights.
The story of the owner who switched from Audi Q5 shows a different selection scenario. After the insurance payment, the question arose of replacing the crossover in the budget up to 4.5 million rubles. Gasoline models of Chinese brands were considered with caution, so the choice fell on an electric car. Between VW ID.4 and Zeekr X, the latter won - thanks to its design, equipment and impressive dynamics. The owner notes that the interior feels superior to many premium brands, and electric drives, autopilot and digital functions greatly simplify everyday life.
However, there were compromises. The main complaint is the software part. Even after Russification, hieroglyphs periodically appear, and multimedia capabilities are not fully revealed. Energy consumption is difficult to predict, like most electric vehicles, and for the sake of design, I had to sacrifice the glove compartment. Nevertheless, the overall impression remains extremely positive, especially against the background of minimal maintenance costs and regular firmware updates.
The owner from Kazan, who switched to Zeekr X from MINI John Cooper Works, considered the car as an urban electric car for leasing. The choice fell on a powerful version with reinforced brakes and large wheels. Over 55,000 km, Zeekr proved to be convenient and versatile: comfortable in the city, suitable for long trips, pleasing with suspension and dynamics. But there are also nuances here - automatic doors require getting used to, the battery in the key runs out quickly, and the rear light eventually needed to be replaced due to depressurization.
If we summarize the impressions of the owners, Zeekr X is perceived as a technologically advanced and emotionally attractive electric car, which often exceeds expectations after the usual ICE cars. It bribes with its design, rich equipment and driving experience, but requires tolerance for software limitations and individual technical details. For many, this balance was the decisive argument in favor of switching to a "Chinese car".
