A new Russian multi-purpose army off-road electric motorcycle Bulldog 4.0 from Baltmotors was presented at the Motovesna`26 exhibition in Moscow. The model received all-wheel drive and low-pressure tires, which allows the equipment to be used on difficult off-road conditions, including snow, sand and swampy areas.
The developers equipped the Bulldog 4.0 with two electric motors with a total power of 7 kW: 3 kW on the front axle and 4 kW on the rear.
The base weight is 192 kg, while the motorcycle carries up to 260 kg of cargo. The maximum speed is 90 km/h.
A 73 A·h battery at a voltage of 72 V provides a range of up to 70 km, charging takes about 3.5 hours. The design also includes a 2 kW generator, which extends autonomy in the field.
A representative of the company, Artem, told Motoram.ru that Bulldog 4.0 is useful for both private tasks and army tasks. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the engine on the rear wheel comes with a downshift gearbox and has a large torque to pull heavy loads "at the low end". The front motor-wheel is switched on only when necessary.
We came up with the idea of using a motorcycle with a regular household generator, which is located in place of the gas tank. It can recharge the battery and replenish the range. This is a unique concept that has no analogues in the world. This is truly a forest, deeply off-road motorcycle.
In addition, the motorcycle received a telescopic inverted front fork and a rear monoshock with adjustments, hydraulic disc brakes and a 280 mm ground clearance.
The basic equipment includes luggage racks, hand protection, a passenger backrest, a USB connector, as well as holders for weapons and communications equipment. The cost of the model is 799 thousand rubles.
Motoram.ru is an information partner of the «Motovesna`26» exhibition. The event takes place from April 2 to 5 at the Patriot EXPO Exhibition Center.
