Toyota has launched sales of the new bZ5 electric crossover in the Chinese market. The price of the new car starts from $18.1 thousand, which makes it cheaper than used Toyota Corollas with five years of mileage in the US market. The model is positioned as a competitor to the Tesla Model Y.
The bZ5 crossover belongs to the mid-size segment: its length reaches 4780 mm, and the wheelbase is 2880 mm. The car is equipped with a 268 hp electric motor mounted on the front axle.
The range of the bZ5 varies depending on the configuration: 550 or 630 km. The batteries, manufactured by BYD, support fast charging with a power of 90 kW, allowing you to charge the battery from 30 to 80% in about 30 minutes.
The maximum configuration of the bZ5 is estimated at $22.2 thousand.
