Sales of the armored Aurus Komendant SUV have begun in Russia for private individuals. The first car registered to an individual was registered in May 2025. Previously, such cars were produced in limited quantities exclusively for the Federal Protective Service.
The Aurus Komendant debuted in October 2023 at a meeting between Vladimir Putin and the presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The private version differs from the official versions in the absence of special signals, new wheels and Kama tires. The 2025 model received a modernized hybrid power plant, the power of which increased from 598 to 636 hp.
The car is equipped with an adaptive air suspension with adjustable ground clearance up to 260 mm. The production of armored versions is carried out by FSUE "NAMI" in Moscow, in contrast to standard models assembled in Yelabuga.
The cost of the armored Komendant is not disclosed, but the price of the regular version starts from 49.5 million rubles.
