AvtoVAZ will begin production of the modernized Lada Niva Travel 2025 with a new 8-valve 1.8-liter engine. The power of the power unit is 90 hp, thanks to which fuel consumption will decrease by 3–30% depending on operating conditions, down to 10 l/100 km.
The new engine has been partially unified with existing engines, the cylinder block was taken from a 16-valve 1.8-liter engine, and the cylinder head block, intake module and cover were taken from a 1.6-liter 8-valve engine.
Acceleration time on the Niva Travel with a 1.8 liter engine from 0 to 100 km/h — 16 seconds.
The cost of the car will start from 1.45 million rubles. The current Travel with a 1.7 liter engine costs from 1,314,000 rubles.
AvtoVAZ has currently assembled 50 working prototypes of the modernized car.
