The Jetta VS8 compact crossover from FAW-Volkswagen, which will succeed the VS7 model, has been unveiled in China. The new model has attracted attention due to the similarity of its taillights to the design of the Lada Azimut.
The Jetta VS8 has dimensions of 4629 mm in length, 1851 mm in width, and 1624 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2731 mm. These parameters are almost identical to its predecessor, the VS7 (4624 × 1841 × 1624 mm, wheelbase 2730 mm). The crossover is equipped with a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine producing 150 hp, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive.
The car's interior stands out with a large multimedia system screen, the absence of a separate climate control unit, and a transmission selector located on the steering column. The interior also features dashboard lighting in front of the passenger, adding modernity and comfort.
The launch date and price of the Jetta VS8 have not yet been announced. For comparison, the Jetta VS7 in Russia is available at a price of 3,217,000 to 3,529,000 rubles.
