Serial production of Lada Iskra began in April 2025, but production volumes remain modest. According to insiders, about 50 cars were produced in May, 200 in June, and up to 450 cars are planned to be assembled in July.
By the beginning of AvtoVAZ's corporate vacation, which will last from July 28 to August 18, the total number of cars produced will barely reach 700. This may not be enough to meet demand, considering that some of the cars require refinement before sale.
Despite the limited volumes, the start of sales of Lada Iskra is scheduled for July 20, 2025. The cars will be available in three body types: sedan, station wagon, and cross-station wagon.
The model is equipped with 1.6-liter engines with a capacity of 90 or 106 hp, with a 5- or 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT. The CMF-B-LS platform, localized by 90%, became the basis for the new model.
