Photos of the electric version of the Hyundai Staria minivan have appeared on the Korean forum Clien.net, showing the car without camouflage for the first time. The prototype stands out with its two-tone gray and black color scheme and a noticeable charging port located next to the headlight, which distinguishes it from the standard model with an internal combustion engine.
The electric Staria EV will be equipped with an 84 kWh battery, which will provide a range of about 324 km. It is assumed that the rear of the body will be shorter than the regular version, although the photos do not yet confirm this information. The interior is expected to feature a modern design with a digital instrument panel, a 10.25-inch multimedia screen and advanced driver assistance systems, similar to the current hybrid model.
The new product will compete with Volkswagen ID.Buzz, Zeekr 009 and Ford E-Tourneo. Before the release of the electric version, Staria variants with a 3.5-liter V6, a 1.6-liter hybrid or a 2.2-liter diesel are available to customers. Hyundai plans to expand its range of electric vehicles to 21 models by 2030, and the Staria EV will be part of this strategy.
The new product is expected to be presented at the end of 2025, and sales will begin in the first half of 2026.
