Tesla is preparing to launch a new version of the Model YL electric crossover with three rows of seats on the Chinese market. The car, designed for six seats, has been licensed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. Sales of the new product will start in the fall of 2025, which will be the first time a three-row Model Y has appeared in China.
Model YL has larger dimensions compared to the five-seat version: the length is 4976 mm, the width is 1920 mm, the height is 1668 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 3040 mm. The curb weight of the car is 2008 kg. The crossover is equipped with three-component NMC batteries manufactured by LG, providing high energy efficiency.
The electric car received two engines: a front engine with a capacity of 142 kW and a rear engine with 198 kW, which together gives a peak power of 340 kW (456 hp). The increased wheelbase and spacious interior make the Model YL an attractive choice for family trips.
