The Kia concern from South Korea has officially registered the Kia Flex trademark in Russia. Under this brand, the auto giant plans to provide services related to car rentals and subscription services.
In 2022, after Kia's departure from the Russian market, the operation of the company's car rental service was suspended.
At the same time, some dealerships continued to offer subscription cars to customers.
In the spring of 2025, Yonhap News Agency reported that Hyundai, which owns the Kia brand, was considering the possibility of Kia returning to the Russian market in 2025.
Currently, there is no official confirmation of the resumption of Kia car sales in Russia. However, trademark registration can be seen as a strategic step aimed at preparing for possible developments in the domestic car market in the future.
