AvtoVAZ has suspended the operation of assembly lines from July 28 to August 17, 2025, sending employees on a traditional corporate vacation, according to Sergey Tselikov, director of the Avtostat agency.
For two weeks, the plant will focus on maintenance, repair and modernization of equipment, which is aimed at improving production efficiency. Buyers should not fear supply disruptions due to significant stocks.
According to estimates based on statistics, the inventories of AvtoVAZ and its dealers exceed 100 thousand cars, increasing by 30 thousand units in the first half of the year. This ensures a stable supply in the market, despite the shutdown. Initially, it was planned to produce 500 thousand cars in 2025, but adjustments to these plans were announced at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Lada sales in Russia for the first six months of 2025 reached 162.8 thousand cars, including light commercial versions, which is 23% less than in the same period of 2024.
