Carsharing trips in Moscow will be impossible without a verified account on mos.ru from September 1, 2025. This measure is designed to reduce the number of accidents involving carsharing cars. According to statistics from operators providing this service, the majority of short-term rental users are conscientious drivers, however, there is a small percentage of persistent violators who will be identified and blocked through verification.
The same system was introduced in the capital for scooter rentals in February 2025 and proved its effectiveness - more than 30 thousand fake accounts of minors were identified, and the number of incidents involving personal mobility devices decreased by 60%. Users will be able to get verified until November 2025.
