Autocar magazine has compiled a list of six models that have proven their durability by traveling over 1 million km without a major engine overhaul. The leader of the rating is the 1996 Lexus LS 400 sedan with a 4.0-liter V8 Toyota 1UZ-FE, which scored an impressive 1.6 million km of mileage. In second place is the 1989 Saab 900 SPG, which traveled 1.5 million km.
The third position is occupied by the fourth-generation 1990 Honda Accord with a 2.2-liter F22A engine and the same result of 1.5 million km. The rating also includes the 1991 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck (1.5 million km), the 2013 Hyundai Elantra sedan (1.5 million km) and the 1990 BMW 325i, which managed to travel exactly one million kilometers.
The cars on the list cover different segments - from business sedans to pickup trucks, but they have one thing in common: high reliability of units and high-quality maintenance, which allows you to operate equipment for decades without serious breakdowns.
